Job Description Job Description Our client is seeking a
detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client's team in
Bridgewater, New Jersey . This contract-to-permanent position
offers an excellent opportunity to manage payroll operations and
support financial processes in a dynamic environment. The ideal
candidate will bring expertise in payroll processing,
reconciliation tasks, and financial recordkeeping, ensuring
accuracy and compliance with deadlines. Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities: • Process payroll efficiently, including managing
direct deposit uploads, payroll tax remittances, and other
deductions while adhering to strict deadlines. • Serve as the
primary backup to the Payroll Manager, ensuring continuity in
payroll operations. • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for
operating and accounts payable disbursement accounts. • Reconcile
monthly balance sheet accounts related to payroll clearing, prepaid
expenses, and miscellaneous accounts receivable. • Assist in
preparing year-end audit schedules and financial analyses. •
Support journal entry processing as directed by senior financial
staff. • Conduct ad hoc analyses and reconciliations to address
specific financial inquiries. • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive
information while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. •
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the
team. Payroll Specialist Requirements: • Associate degree in
accounting or finance, or equivalent experience in payroll
processing and reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of computer
applications for financial recordkeeping. • Proficiency in
Microsoft Word, Excel • Previous experience managing payroll for
over 500 employees and multi-state payroll operations
