Job Description Job Description Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift Alternate/Related Job Titles: Maintenance Tech, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Production Maintenance Technician Location: Carrollton, Texas Contract Details: Temp-to-Hire Pay Rate: $20–$24 per hour Schedule: Regular Hours: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM Training Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or adjusted as required) Job Summary The Maintenance Technician supports daily production operations by performing hands-on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports a safe, efficient manufacturing environment. Spanish-language proficiency is required due to operational and communication needs. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Support production lines to maintain continuous operation and minimize downtime. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform hands-on repairs as needed. Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to leadership. Follow all safety protocols and company maintenance procedures. Required Experience 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production environment. Hands-on mechanical and electrical repair experience (non-supervisory role). Nice-to-Have Experience Exposure to high-speed or automated production machinery. Experience in packaging, industrial manufacturing, or related environments. Required Skills (Top 3 Must-Have Skills) Proficiency in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems maintenance. Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish. Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Preferred Skills Preventive maintenance (PM) program skills. Basic PLC troubleshooting familiarity (if applicable to equipment). Machine alignment, calibration, or mechanical assembly skills. Production support and equipment changeover capabilities.
