Job Description:
Koch Foods is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Superintendent to
join our progressive engineering and maintenance team in the
Manufacturing sector. As a key player in one of Americas leading
poultry processors, this role is instrumental in ensuring efficient
and uninterrupted operations across our processing facilities. The
successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the
maintenance of equipment, managing maintenance personnel, and
implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance
productivity and reduce operational costs in adherence with our
commitment to quality and innovation. Oversee daily operations of
the maintenance department, ensuring all equipment is operating at
peak efficiency. Develop and implement maintenance strategies,
procedures, and methods, while adhering to safety standards and
regulatory compliance. Lead, train, and manage a team of
maintenance technicians and support staff, fostering a proactive
environment of professionalism and safety. Collaborate with
production managers to coordinate maintenance and repair work in
process areas, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Monitor equipment and spare parts inventory and make purchase
orders as necessary to maintain stock at adequate levels. Prepare
and control the maintenance budget to ensure efficient use of
resources. Implement continuous improvement projects to enhance
operational efficiency and reduce waste. Pursue sustainability
initiatives in maintenance processes, aligning with company goals
for environmental responsibility. Strong leadership and
decision-making skills Expertise in mechanical and electrical
systems Proficiency in maintenance management systems and
predictive maintenance techniques Excellent organizational and time
management skills Ability to manage and oversee large budget and
maintenance projects Strong communication skills, proficient in
fostering teamwork Capacity to work under pressure and manage
emergencies Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
preferred Project management certification is beneficial
