Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Position Summary The
Construction Surveyor Helper assists the Lead Surveyor in
performing field surveying activities on construction sites. This
role supports layout, measurement, and data collection tasks to
ensure accurate positioning of structures and compliance with
project plans. The position requires physical stamina, attention to
detail, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Assist surveyors with field
measurements, staking, and layout for construction projects ·
Carry, set up, and maintain surveying equipment (levels, total
stations, GPS units, rods, tripods, etc.) · Hold leveling rods,
prisms, and measuring tools as directed · Place stakes, markers,
and flags according to survey instructions · Clear brush or debris
from survey lines and work areas when necessary · Record field
notes and measurements accurately · Follow safety procedures and
wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) · Maintain tools
and equipment in good working condition · Assist with loading,
unloading, and transporting equipment to job sites · Perform other
related duties as assigned by the Surveyor or Supervisor
Qualifications/ Skills · Previous construction or outdoor labor
experience preferred but not required. · Basic understanding of
construction sites and safety practices. · Ability to follow verbal
and written instructions · Willingness to learn surveying
