Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A temporary opportunity is available for a Teacher of
the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to provide specialized instruction for a
K-12 student in the Atlanta area. This leave replacement contract
is specifically designed for professionals holding an active
Georgia DOE certification who are skilled in supporting the
educational needs of students with hearing impairments. Location:
Atlanta Area, Georgia (Virtual options may be considered) Duration:
March 17, 2026 to May 22, 2026 Schedule: Monday through Friday,
10:20 AM to 11:50 AM EST Caseload: One student, individualized
support Hours per week: 7.5 to 10 hours Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of a student
who is deaf or hard of hearing Collaborate with support staff and
families to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Monitor
student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with all
stakeholders Qualifications: Active Georgia Department of Education
(GA DOE) certification in Teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of
hearing preferred Ability to follow a strict, consistent daily
schedule Strong communication and organizational skills Benefits
