Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
comprehensive contract opportunity is available for a
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a K-12 educational
setting in Bessemer, AL. This role is designed for a qualified
professional holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in
Speech-Language Pathology and experience in school-based speech
therapy services. Responsibilities: Conduct speech and language
assessments to identify student needs and develop individualized
treatment plans. Provide direct therapy services to students with
speech, language, and communication disorders. Collaborate with
educators, parents, and other professionals to support student
progress and facilitate effective communication strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations,
and progress reports in compliance with school and state
regulations. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP)
meetings and contribute expert recommendations. Qualifications and
Experience: Current SLP licensure and active CCC certification from
the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Proven
experience delivering speech and language services within a school
setting. Strong knowledge of developmental speech and language
disorders affecting school-aged children. Ability to work
effectively with K-12 students across a diverse range of needs.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Location and Duration: Position located in Bessemer, Alabama.
