(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. A skilled Sign Language Interpreter is needed to
support effective communication within a school setting in Antioch,
TN. This role focuses on facilitating communication between deaf or
hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff,
ensuring equal access to educational opportunities.
Responsibilities include: Providing accurate and clear sign
language interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and
school events Collaborating with educators and support staff to
accommodate communication needs Assisting in developing and
implementing individualized communication strategies Traveling
between various school locations as needed to support multiple
students or classrooms Maintaining confidentiality and
professionalism in all interactions Preferred qualifications and
experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and
knowledge of deaf culture Previous experience interpreting in
educational environments, preferably in K-12 settings Ability to
travel locally to multiple school sites Strong communication and
interpersonal skills Certification from a recognized interpreting
