This role involves providing interpretation services across multiple school locations, requiring a professional who is adaptable and comfortable with travel. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers, peers, and staff. Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classes, meetings, and school events. Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion in the classroom environment. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the ethical standards of interpreting. Desired Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language with prior experience interpreting in educational settings. Strong understanding of Deaf culture and communication methods to support student engagement. Ability to travel between multiple school sites as required. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse groups.
