Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Located in
Wedowee, AL, this part-time Speech-Language Pathologist role offers
the opportunity to support students from PreK through 8th grade
within a K-12 school setting. The contract position runs from ASAP
through May 22, 2026, focusing on delivering speech-language
services to a diverse student population. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in PreK-8th
grade to address articulation, language, fluency, voice, and other
communication disorders. Conduct assessments and develop
individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary
teams to ensure effective communication interventions. Maintain
accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with
regulatory standards. Utilize evidence-based strategies and
continue professional development to enhance service delivery.
Desired Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence in
Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC). Experience working as an SLP
within school settings (K-12). Familiarity with school-based
caseloads and multidisciplinary collaboration. Strong communication
and organizational skills. Ability to work onsite for 16-24 hours
per week, providing flexible scheduling aligned with school needs.
