ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN/SOLIDWORKS

Temp to Hire - IMMEDIATE OPENING
PAY $24-$29 PER HOUR DOE

POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports customer requirements by using SolidWorks to create part and assembly drawings, generates bills of materials.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

--- Converts engineering concepts into solid models using SolidWorks.
--- Creates part and assembly drawings and documentation on existing and new products.
--- Ensures all design models, drawings and bills of materials are completed per requirements.
--- Monitors progress of First Articles.
--- Contributes to product planning in areas of expertise.
--- Supports Sales, Manufacturing and Customers as needed.
--- Communicate with and support management in a timely manner.
--- Ensures Matthews quality policies and procedures are followed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
--- High school diploma or equivalent
--- Specialized training in SolidWorks or strong AutoCad skills with willingness to learn SolidWorks.
--- 2+ years of design experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
--- Broad exposure to Sheetmetal Fabrication Technologies
--- Detailed oriented
--- Good Geometry skills
--- Good verbal and written communication skills
--- Ability to work in a team environment
--- Positive, enthusiastic approach to work
Prior experience with Amada turrets and tooling knowledge is a plus.
