Job Description CNC Machine Operator for a well established local company. Entry level applicants considered. As a CNC Machinist, you will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, or by setting up and operating a manual machine. Your specific duties in this role will include: Planning machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and other resources, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) Verifying machine settings by measuring positions and making first-run parts, and sample work pieces including but not limited to calipers, micrometer and height gage. Adhering to international standards Maintaining specifications and adjusting and reprogramming controls Sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions and requisitioning repairs Maintaining a clean and safe work area Keen eye for detail a must Work Experience Minimum 1 years' experience setting up and operating CNC machinery. Entry level for the right candidate . Ability to set up and operate manual and CNC Turrets and/or Lathes Proficiency in the use of precision measuring tools with a keen eye for detail Ability to work from blueprints, rough sketches and customer samples; comfortable working in a fast paced environment Ability to work at a quick and steady pace with a sense of urgency Ability to pass background check and drug screen Benefits Great Benefits with a well established family owned company.
