Job Description:
Drax Group plc is seeking a skilled Electrical/Instrumentation
Technician to join our innovative team in leading the energy sector
towards a zero carbon future. This pivotal role involves
maintaining and improving the instrumentation and electrical
systems at our power generation facilities, ensuring optimal
performance and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical and
instrumentation equipment. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in
various types of electrical and instrumentation systems. Calibrate
and adjust all types of plant instrumentation. Read and interpret
wiring diagrams and schematic drawings. Install new electrical and
control equipment as per the project requirements and industry
standards. Collaborate with operations teams to identify areas for
efficiency improvements. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and
environmental regulations. Record and report all faults,
discrepancies, and maintenance activities. Proficient in
troubleshooting and repairing electrical and instrumentation
systems. Experience with PLCs, DCS, and other control systems.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations (NEC, NFPA,
OSHA). Ability to read and understand technical manuals and
schematics. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Medical
