has an opening for a Principal Systems Engineer. This position will
be in Huntsville, Alabama and will support the TGE/BONES program.
Job Description: Performs technical planning, system integration,
verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and
effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at
all levels of total system product to include: concept, design,
fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and
disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer
or product requirements into total systems solutions that
acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs
functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies,
requirements allocation and interface definition studies to
translate customer requirements into hardware and software
specifications. The selected engineer will be responsible for
filling the role of Platform Lead. This position requires managing
the Fixed Site architecture. Tasks include: Bringing together the
work of multiple teams, internal (NG) and external (non-NG), to
manage the System of Systems architecture. Manage face-to-face
communication between the customer and the teams, ensuring the
requirements of the customer are understood and met. Briefing
leadership and customer on architecture status. Basic
qualifications: Experience: 5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with
Masters; 1 Year with PhD. Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
Travel requirements: 10% MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) Experience
utilizing Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence) Preferred
qualifications: Coursework in Systems Engineering Experience
supervising teams Experience with customer relations Experience as
a technical project lead Experience with strategic planning and
vision Experience with cross functional collaboration Experience
with system of systems architecture Excellent written and verbal
skills Excellent presentation skills Ability to generate
documentation for leadership Ability to build a culture of
collaboration and common goals across a team Ability to thrive in a
rapidly changing, collaborative setting. Primary Level Salary
Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00 The above salary range represents
a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number
of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope
and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime,
shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base
pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions
as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees
in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long
Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety
