About The Position Clanton, Alabama Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens assignment at a community-based hospital in Clanton, Alabama . This is a high-volume emergency department in need of immediate/onoing physician support. Assignment Highlights Location: Clanton, AL Facility Type: Community hospital emergency department Contract Type: Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Start Date: Upon credentialing (emergency/temporary privileges available for clean files) Duration: 3–6 months minimum, ongoing potential Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6a–6p | 6p–6a), including weekends/holidays Shifts Needed: 18–24 per month to stabilize coverage Program Details Annual Volume: ~24,455 ED visits Patients/Hour: 2.19 ED Beds: 11 APC Support: 8 hours daily (1p–9p), when available Scribe Coverage: None EMR: Cerner Admitting Orders: Required Trauma Designation: Not a trauma center Clinical Environment Procedures: Standard ED procedures required Subspecialty Backup: In-House: General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cardiology Telemedicine: Trauma Surgery, Neurology, Nephrology, Psychiatry, Critical Care Medicine Candidate Requirements Board Certification: ABEM/AOBEM/ABFM/ABIM (must be BC within 5 years of residency) Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (ATLS waived for ABEM physicians) Licensure: Active/unrestricted Alabama license DEA (COVID vaccination or approved exemption required) Experience: Proven ability to manage 2 patients per hour in a community ED setting Why This Opportunity?
