be considered. A skilled Registered Nurse with experience in
stepdown care is needed for a rewarding contract position in
Bessemer, Alabama. This role focuses on providing critical nursing
care to patients recovering from acute medical conditions in a
focused, stepdown unit setting. The position offers the chance to

appealing place to work and live. Key Responsibilities: Provide
comprehensive nursing care to patients in a stepdown unit, managing
a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Administer treatments and monitor
patients with common diagnoses such as pneumonia. Utilize nursing
skills including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications to ensure
patient safety and compliance with clinical protocols. Perform
detailed patient charting using the Epic electronic medical record
system. Adapt to floating assignments within similar units as
needed while maintaining high-quality patient care. Collaborate
with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current and valid RN
license. Stepdown nursing experience preferred. Certifications in
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required. Comfortable with charting in
Epic or similar EMR systems. Ability to work independently and as
part of a team. Flexibility to float to like units as required.
Schedule and Details: Shift: 12 Noon to 12 Midnight Hours per week:
36 Weekend work every other weekend. Float requirement as needed
based on skill set. Navy blue scrubs required. This contract role
