Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years
Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A behavior specialist or ABA
therapist is needed to provide 1:1 support for a middle school
student with mild to severe behavioral challenges in a K-12 school
setting located in Alabaster, AL. This contract position runs
through the current school year, with an anticipated end date of
May 23, 2025. The role requires onsite presence Monday through
Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., for 37.5 hours weekly.
Responsibilities include: Providing one-on-one behavior support
using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles or related
techniques Implementing behavior intervention plans for a student
with low IQ and behavioral concerns, including disrespect toward
women Collaborating with an involved parent and the educational
team to meet the students needs Conducting prescreen assessments
(availability for prescreens required) Maintaining professional
standards and compliance with district policies Required
qualifications: Male candidates only, to meet the specific needs of
the student Experience in ABA therapy or possession of Registered
Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (active or inactive)
Certification in CPI or equivalent de-escalation training (must
provide current certificate) Ability to complete fingerprinting
through the state education agency This opportunity offers direct
