Job Description:

Koch Foods, a leader in the poultry processing industry, is currently seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our health and safety team. As an integral part of our emergency response unit, the EMT will provide critical care and support in medical emergencies at our facilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, responding to immediate health crises, and facilitating the wellbeing of our workforce in a high-paced industrial environment. Respond to emergency calls and provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and transport patients to medical facilities. Assess the extent of injuries or illnesses to determine medical treatment necessary. Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, ECG, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, and other medications and procedures. Prepare reports and documentation regarding the care provided to patients. Collaborate with other emergency medical team members and public safety professionals. Maintain equipment and ensure readiness for response to emergencies. Proficiency in emergency medical techniques and protocols. Ability to make quick and precise decisions under pressure. Strong oral and written communication skills. Physical stamina and agility to perform the required duties. Capability to utilize emergency equipment and tools effectively. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Valid EMT-Basic (EMT-B) certification. CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. State licensure as an EMT.
