experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Provide critical care
nursing expertise in a progressive environment serving adult
patients in the ER holding unit. This role focuses on PCU-level
stepdown care for patients boarded in the Emergency Department,
utilizing strong clinical skills to support complex cardiac,
neurological, orthopedic, and critical care cases. Location:
Position based in Midway, GA, offering a blend of coastal charm and
Southern hospitality. The area features picturesque surroundings,
mild climate, and access to cultural and outdoor activities, making
it a desirable location for both work and leisure. Qualifications &
Experience: Active Georgia or Compact RN license required Current
BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 2 years recent PCU nursing
experience OR 1 year PCU plus 1 years in Telemetry, ER, or ICU
setting Completion of at least one previous travel nursing
assignment with references from recent assignments Ability to work
independently interpreting Spacelabs telemetry strips and
documenting findings Skill in managing patients on cardiac
monitors, understanding RT equipment troubleshooting (VENT, CPAP,
BiPAP, High Flow) Familiarity with emergency diagnostic testing
protocols including ABGs, breathing treatments, EKGs, X-ray, and CT
procedures Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care to
ER boarded patients requiring stepdown services Collaborate with
respiratory therapists and imaging techs to coordinate patient care
Maintain patient monitoring using telemetry equipment, ensure
accurate readings and documentation Participate in unit-specific
orientation during the first week to ensure seamless integration
Comply with a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio adjusted according to
patient acuity Work every other weekend and holiday shifts as
needed based on department requirements Additional Details: Uniform
requirement: navy scrub color No call or standby obligations
Transport techs available until 10 PM for patient movement This
