Provide specialized neonatal care as a Registered Nurse in a 32-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), supporting vulnerable newborns and their families with compassion and clinical expertise. This contract position offers a PM shift schedule with guaranteed weekly hours, set in a supportive environment utilizing Cerner EMR systems. Responsibilities: Deliver advanced nursing care to neonatal patients with a 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Monitor patient conditions, document assessments, and administer medications as prescribed Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and NICU best practices Provide emotional support and education to families navigating neonatal care Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate documentation and communication Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years NICU experience Required certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Proven ability to effectively care for critically ill neonates in a fast-paced environment Commitment to maintaining professional appearance, including navy scrubs and natural nails without gel, acrylic, or embellishments Shift & Schedule: PM shift 36 guaranteed hours per week Every other weekend coverage totaling 24 hours No call requirements This contract role offers the chance to apply specialized NICU nursing skills in a dedicated unit that prioritizes patient safety and family-centered care.
