Waste Connections, a leader in integrated waste services, is looking for a dedicated Driver to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and safe transport of waste while upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance and customer service. As part of our dynamic team, youll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our community through responsible waste management. Operate waste disposal trucks with adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ensure that waste collection and transport are carried out efficiently without spillage or contamination. Respond courteously to customer service inquiries and ensure consistent service reliability. Maintain accurate records and logs of routes, incidents, and vehicle maintenance. Follow routes based on daily assignments and adapt to any changes in schedule or route. Participate regularly in safety meetings and training. Perform emergency repairs on the vehicle when necessary and report major mechanical issues. Proficient in operating heavy vehicles such as front, rear loader or roll off trucks. Good physical condition to perform strenuous and repetitive tasks. Strong navigational and driving skills. Effective communication and customer service skills. Basic mechanical knowledge to manage minor repairs. Ability to work in various weather conditions and seasonal challenges. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required. Safe Driver Training certificates or similar relevant to heavy vehicle operation are preferred.
