Position SummaryWe're seeking a proactive, detail-oriented after-hours Dispatcher to support our fleet operations outside of normal business hours. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and customers, ensuring freight moves efficiently and issues are resolved swiftly. This position demands clear communication, quick decision-making, and a strong sense of ownership. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage real-time truck movements, ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Act as the first responder to driver or customer issues-own it, fix it, and move on.
• Coordinate load assignments, track shipments, and update dispatching systems.
• Provide professional, solution-focused support to drivers and customers with a "Yes We Can" attitude.
• Document and report incidents, delays, or changes to schedules promptly and clearly.
• Collaborate with day-shift dispatch and operations teams to ensure seamless transitions.
• Support driver safety and compliance by monitoring hours of service and communicating proactively.
• Uphold and promote a community culture where every team member is valued and respected.
• Commit to lifelong learning by staying up to date on company systems, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications
  • Prior experience in dispatching, transportation, or logistics preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
  • Technologically proficient-comfortable using dispatch software, GPS systems, and digital communication tools.
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm during high-stress situations.
  • Willingness to work overnight, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.
