Technician/Operator Job Description As a Chemical
Technician/Operator, you will learn processes and equipment to
create active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and converting them
into a powdered form. Responsibilities Produce active
pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in powder form. Mix powders with
oils to create a concentration Operate 100-900 gallon reactors for
multikilogram scale organic chemical synthesis. Perform manual
operations like hooking up hoses and transfers. Engage in organic
chemistry processes including chemical reactions and distillations.
Weigh powders and transfer them into reactors. Follow standard
operating procedures (SOPs) for chemical reactions. Record detailed
reaction notes. Conduct sampling and sample preparation. Undergo
forklift training. Participate in various chemical processes that
differ in chemistry and duration. Essential Skills B.S. in
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related Life
Science degree. 6 months to 2 years of experience in organic
chemistry/chemical synthesis. 1-3 years of experience in handling
bulk chemicals or large-scale chemical production. Strong attention
to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Safety consciousness.
Ability to follow directions. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in chemical synthesis, organic synthesis, and organic
chemistry. Knowledge in sample preparation and distillation.
Familiarity with safety protocols, APIs, and OSHA standards. Work
Environment You will be part of a team of 8 at the Madison
facility, working alongside 2 maintenance technicians, 4 operators,
1 scheduler, and 1 director. The work involves manual processes
rather than automation, ensuring a hands-on experience with
chemical reactors. The organization promotes a collaborative work

WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54080.00 -
