shift (2-10:30pm) Job Description Join a dynamic team in a
fast-paced food laboratory environment as a Sample Prep Technician.
This role involves supporting the preparation staff by labeling
containers, washing glassware, and transporting samples. The
position offers the opportunity for cross-training and advancement
within the lab setting, with the possibility of transitioning into
lab positions after a year. Responsibilities Assist in labeling and
storing samples. Reduce samples to powder or liquid form using
liquid nitrogen. Maintain strong documentation and adhere to
company regulations. Stand for the majority of the day and use a
5lb hammer to grind samples. Work in specialty areas such as vessel
washing and data entry. Be flexible to work an average of 5 hours
of overtime per week based on workload. Essential Skills High
attention to detail and documentation. Ability to work
independently and reliability verified through references. 1 years
of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience working
under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations. Additional Skills
& Qualifications Associate's degree in Biotechnology with 2 years
of industry lab experience, or High School diploma with 3-4 years
of repetitive work experience and ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
Backgrounds in restaurant/cooking, pharmacy tech, landscaping,
delivery driving, or assembly line work are beneficial. Work
Environment Work in a loud but fun prep lab environment where
teamwork is key. The lab has recently moved to a new location to
accommodate growth, and the Sample Prep team is experiencing a 20%
increase in test production. The environment is fast-paced, similar
to production work, with numerous promotional opportunities
available. The team consists of 12-15 employees on the first and
second shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire
position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range
for this position is $20.17 - $20.17/hr. Eligibility requirements
