Certified Diabetes Educator RN! Our close-knit Endocrinology team
is seeking a dedicated Certified Diabetes Educator RN to assist
patients in managing their health. In this position, you will offer
education, support, and guidance to patients and their families,
equipping them with the necessary tools and confidence to
effectively handle diabetes. Your Responsibilities: Provide
education on diabetes management and lifestyle adjustments. Work
collaboratively with healthcare providers and care teams to develop
tailored care plans. Advocate for patients while ensuring safety,
quality, and compassion in care. Deliver care that honors cultural,
age-specific, and individual needs. Position Overview: Education:
Completion of an accredited nursing program. Licensure: Active
nursing license from the State Board of Nursing in the relevant
state. Experience: Registered nurse with at least 5-7 years of
clinical experience. Proficiency in teaching adult learners is
essential. Ability to create and adjust educational outlines to
enhance patient and family comprehension of health conditions is
required. Strong interpersonal skills are a must. Certifications:
CPR certification is required. Additional Requirements: To ensure
patient safety, all licensed staff must successfully complete a
medication and math competency assessment prior to taking on
medication administration duties. This assessment will evaluate
knowledge of common medications, their effects, and math skills
related to dosages and IV calculations. A minimum passing score of
90% is required, with one opportunity for retake. Failure to pass
