Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is
available in Antioch, TN, serving K-5th grade students in a K-12
school setting. This contract role runs through the current school
year, providing education to students with diverse urban
backgrounds. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to
3:30 pm, with elementary caseloads focused on special education
needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction
tailored to students with special education needs, including those
on the autism spectrum Develop and implement Individualized
Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards Collaborate
with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote
student success Monitor and document student progress, adjusting
strategies as needed to meet educational goals Foster a supportive
and inclusive classroom environment that addresses the unique
challenges of urban students Qualifications: Valid Tennessee
Teaching License or eligibility for licensure Experience working in
special education, preferably with K-5th grade students Knowledge
of autism spectrum disorder interventions and strategies Strong
communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an
