Job Description Job Description Primary Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II- 1st Shift Alternate / Related Job Titles: • Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) • Phlebotomist II • Patient Service Center Phlebotomist • Clinical Phlebotomy Technician Location & Onsite Flexibility: Leesburg, VA — Onsite Work Location: 19450 Deerfield Ave, Leesburg, VA Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 3 Months Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: $19.85 – $21.80/hr Job Description The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization for patients seeking routine care or critical health insights. This role is responsible for performing high-quality phlebotomy services and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures and maintaining patient trust. The PSR II has direct patient interaction and creates an environment of confidence and professionalism by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner . Assignments may include work at a patient service center, physician office, or other locations based on business needs. Responsibilities include performing clinical and forensic specimen collection, verifying patient demographic information, ensuring specimen labeling accuracy in the patient’s presence, and maintaining required documentation. The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, supports process excellence, and upholds strict confidentiality standards while promoting a positive image to patients, clients, and coworkers. Education • High School Diploma or equivalent • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA) Required Skills & Attributes Required Skills: • Excellent phlebotomy skills , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections • Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision • Strong customer service and patient communication skills Preferred Skills: • Minimum 2 years experience in a Patient Service Center environment • Customer service experience in a retail or service setting Additional Skills: • Keyboarding and data entry proficiency • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting • Flexibility to travel and work across multiple locations with minimal notice • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable) Experience Requirements • 3 years of phlebotomy experience required , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Work Schedule • Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM • 1-hour lunch • Eastern Time Zone • Flexibility required for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call coverage as needed • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability Benefits • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans • 401(k) Retirement Fund About the Company A leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
